GIHSC run a variety of ‘members only' events throughout the season as well as co-ordinating the annual pre-season Summer Party held in September.

Suggestions for evening events to take place during the 2010-11 season include the ever-popular Quiz Nights, a Race Night, a Curry Night, Bowling Night and perhaps ‘An Audience With...' which we hope will be entertaining and informative.

However, we welcome any ideas from GIHSC members – after all, Flames supporters come in many different shapes and sizes and different people enjoy different social occasions. Whatever we do, our aim is to bring supporters and players together in a fun, light-hearted situation whilst helping to boost funds for the club. And by getting to know fellow supporters, perhaps this will help boost our planned ‘car share' scheme which we hope will make away games more accessible to those who don't drive.

Another idea is to hold an ‘Audience With...' evening perhaps several months into the season where Flames players/representatives field questions from supporters on all manner of topics before retiring to the bar afterwards. So if you'd like to discuss coaching decisions, performance and where the Flames stand in League/Cup tables at the time of the event, remember past seasons or just generally get your views out there then this will be your opportunity.

With the long and preferably hot summer before us, it may seem ages before the start of the season. But if there is something you'd like to see happen on the social side of things, or would like to register your interest in anything mentioned here, feel free to get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Details of all social activities being run by the GIHSC will be posted on this website and most will require tickets to be purchased in advance so do keep checking for updates.

Next season, if you pop along to Skate Hire during the first interval on game nights, you'll be able to say hello, pass on some ideas or purchase/reserve tickets once events are scheduled. You can also e-mail social@gihsc.org - remember – we are open to suggestions and booking enquiries from GIHSC members only. It costs just £8 for adults and £4 for children aged 15 and under to join, so make sure you visit Skate Hire during the intervals on game night and pick up a membership form from Margaret or download a form from our website.
